Applications are invited from the graduates (who have passed the examination of Fazilat) from Darul Uloom and Darul Uloom waqf Deoband or Nadwatul Ulama Lucknow and other similar institutes.
Also applications are invited from the applicants who have completed their first degree program (Graduation) in any discipline from any recognized university from India or abroad.
Admission “By Research Only” is available for researchers coming from abroad.
Indian student/researcher must choose “by coursework and research”, after due consideration of the application student/researcher may be exempted from coursework.
Submit attested photocopies of all academic and necessary documents with this application.
The researchers/students may be asked/required to attend international conferences during their research program. Therefore, they must furnish a financial statement or a letter of sponsor showing their financial capability. Such conference may also be sponsored by the Institute on the condition of availability of the fund.
In case you are not furnishing financial statement it never means that your application is unacceptable or no worth of assessment. Financial statement makes your claim strong regarding a comprehensive research work with the support of foreign universities/institutes.
Students/academicians seeking admission in research program must furnish their English language proficiency very carefully and accurately.
An Arabic/English language proficiency test may be conducted by the Institute.

The applicant must furnish the details of two referees. Referees are those persons, who know the applicants for his academic capacity. They may be applicants’ teacher, employer or person of repute. They should write a confidential report regarding the academic capacity of the applicant. This report must directly be sent to the office of the Deputy Dean of DIIT.
The applicant should make sure that the referees send their reference letter directly to the DIIT in sealed and signed envelopes. These reference letters should not be revealed upon the applicant.
This is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure that the referees should send their reference letters directly to DIIT within 30 days from the date of his application.
No application will be evaluated without referees’ report, whose name will be mentioned in the application form.
From Indian nationals (applicant) only hardcopies and duly signed applications are accepted. Applications are not accepted by email or fax.
All above procedures are compulsory for the students coming from abroad.
But foreign based applicants may also send their application by email but attested photocopies of transcripts are required to be submitted by post.

There are three semesters in a year. Semesters 1 and 2 are compulsory for conducting the classes. Semester 3 is only for research proposal purpose. Those students who have successfully completed coursework will require working on their research proposal during the third semester. However, third semester is optional.
